Ang paraan ng pamumuhay ng mga tao at kung paano sila nakipag-ugnayan sa bawat isa sa isang lugar ay tinatawag na kultura. Ang wika, pananamit, pabahay, sistema ng relihiyon, at sining ay ilan lamang sa mga halimbawa ng mga aspetong bumubuo sa kultura.
Bawat pangkat etnikong Pilipino ay may natatanging kultura. May mga kultura sa Ifugao ng CAR, Ilonggo ng Negros Island Region, at Badjao ng ARMM, atbp.
 
Mayroong dalawang magkaibang uri ng kultura.
1. Materyal - Ang mga sangkap na materyal ay kung ano ang nakikita at nahahawakan. Ang isang koleksyon ng mga ari-arian o bagay ng mga tao ay tinutukoy bilang kanilang materyal na kultura. Kasama ang mga kotse, tindahan, at ang aktwal na mga lugar kung saan sumasamba ang mga tao, ang mga bagay tulad ng mga token ng bus at metro pass ay itinuturing na bahagi ng materyal na kultura.

2. Hindi Materyal - Sa kabaligtaran, ang hindi materyal na kultura ay tumutukoy sa mga ideya, saloobin, at pagpapahalaga ng isang lipunan. Ito ang mga hindi nahahawakan na bahagi ng kultura. Wala itong kinalaman sa mga nasasalat na bagay. Ito ay pumapaloob sa mga kaugalian, wika, at paniniwala.
