Ano ang mga Programa ni Ramos?

Nbsp;    Ang administrasyon ni Ramos ay binigyan ng pangalan ang mga programang pangkaunlaran, ito ang Philippines 2000. Ang layunin nito ay paunlarin ang ekonomiya at antas ng pamumuhay sa ating bansa pagdating ng taong 2000. 

      Ang Philippines 2000 ay magtataguyod at magpapaunlad sa:
1.kapayapaan at katatagan
2. Paglago ng ekonomiya at likas-kayang pag-unlad
3. Produksyon ng enerhiya at lakas
4. Pangangalaga sa ating kapaligiran
5. Pangangasiwa sa mga gawain ng pamahalaan

     Ito ay inaasahan na makatutulong na mabago ang imahe ng Pilipinas mula sa pagiging “sick man of Asia” papunta sa pagiging “tiger economy” gaya nalang ng bansang Singapore, South Korea at Taiwan. 

     Binigyang-tibay ng kongreso ang Electric Power Crisis Act para masulusyunan ang problema sa enerhiya. Ito ay nagibay-kapangyarihan kay Ramos na makipagkasundo sa mga prodyuser ng enrhiya para punan ang kakulangan ng suplay. Nalunasan nga ng Electric Power Crisis Act ang brownout pero tumaas naman ang presyo ng kuryente.  Binigyang-tibay din ang Department of Energy Act na may tungkulin na bumalangkas, pangasiwaan, at ipatupad ang lahat ng mga programa, proyekto, plano, at gawain ng pamahalaan.

Narito ang mga programa ng Pamunuan ni Ramos na Pangkapayapaan at Panseguridad:
1.Ang Presidential Anti-Crime Commission - ay naitatag para tugunan ang mga problemang krimen sa ating bansa; Si Estrada ang pinuno ng komisyon. 
2.Ang National Unification Commission - ang nagbigay ng daan sa pakikipagkasundo pagsuko ng mga rebeldeng grupo sa pamahalaan.
3. Ang Southern Philippines Council for Peace and Development - ay nagbigay ng daan sa pakikipagkasundo ng pamahalaan sa Moro National Liberation Front.

     Naging aktibo ang bansang Pilipinas sa World Trade Organization (WTO)  at Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). Nagpatupad ng patakarang pribatisasyon, liberalisasyon, at deregularisasyon ang pamunuang Ramos.
Liberalisasyon - ang nagbigay-daan sa pagbubukas ng ekonomiya sa pandaigdigang kalakalan. 

Pribatisasyon - ang paglilipat ng pagmamay-ari ng negosyo mula sa pamahalaan papunta sa mga pribadong negosyante. 
Deregulasyon - ay tungkol sa malayang pagpapahintulot sa mga negosyante na sumali sa mga industriyang dating kontrolado ng isa o ilang kumpanya lang para magkaroon ng kompetisyon. 

     Pinagtibay ang Migrant Workers’ Act taong 1995 para pangalagaan ang kapakanan ng mga OFW o Overseas Filipino Workers.
