Bawal na Prutas sa may Diabetes

Masustansya man ang mga prutas, mayroong mga klaseng prutas na mataas sa sugar, na maaaring makataas ng blood sugar level o makasanhi ng diabetes.
Paguusapan natin ang mga klase ng prutas na dapat at di dapat kainin, at ano kinalaman nito sa diabetes. 
May mga prutas na maaaring mas nakakataas ng blood sugar kesa sa iba. Halimbawa ay ang:

Ø  Ang sobrang hinog na saging
Ø  Pakwan o watermelon.
Ngunit di ibig sabihin na bawal na kainin ang hinog na saging at pakwan ng mga taong may diabetes. Ibig lang sabihin, hinay-hinay lang at wag marami ang kain.
Ø  Iwasan din ang mga fruit juice na may halong asukal, at dahil likido ito, mas mabilis itong makataas ng blood sugar.
Samantala, maaaring kumain naman ng dried fruit o tinuyong prutas, basta’t wala itong halong dagdag na asukal.
Mahalagang tingnan din ang packaging ng mga fruit juices o dried fruit na nabibili sa grocery. Mabuti ang mga may nakalagay na ‘unsweetened’ at ‘no added sugar’.
Karaniwang dapat kumain ng prutas ang tao ng madalas o araw-araw, dahil kailangan ito ng ating katawan.
 
 
Kapag normal ang blood sugar, dapat di tataas ng 99. Kapag medyo may diabetes o pre-diabetes, ito nasa100-126 ang blood sugar.
 
Mabuting uminom na lamang ng tubig. Iwasan ang mga softdrinks, iced tea, juices at mga matatamis na inumin. Pagdating sa pagkain, isang cup ng kanin nalang. Mainam din brown rice at oatmeal dahil mahaba ang sugar nito. Wag rin sobrang madami tinapay o maaring kumain ng whole wheat bread. Sa halip, mabuting kumain ng maraming gulay.
Kailangan rin mag-ehersisyo, kahit konting lakad lakad man lang kung di kaya ng katawan ang jogging. Kung ikaw ay naninigarilyo, bawasan at paunti-unti itong tanggalin dahil masama rin ang paninigarilyo.
