My Love Affair with Boracay's White Sand and Beaches

Last year, someone gave me an idea to visit Boracay. As well all know, Boracay is "famous", world class ang dating. So one fine afternoon, habang nagpapalipas ng oras sa mall, I saw my former colleague at niyaya niya ako na sumama sa kanila for an out of town trip in Bora. I was very happy and thrilled to join the group. We booked our ticket right away and planned out our activities once we get there.

So the day has finally come. I'm super excited. Lo and behold, my ticket was booked differently, so ibig sabihin mag-solo flight me from Cdo-Kalibo. Sabi ko nevermind, for sure it's worth it, hahabol na lang ako sa mga kaibigan ko. I am glad there were no delays on my flight. I arrived in Kalibo around 6:00 pm while my colleagues arrived there minutes ahead of me. So after all our luggages were settled ,we decided to take our early dinner since it will take us an hour to reach Caticlan. Transportation there is not an issue. There were so many companies offering travels trips from Kalibo-Caticlan by private vans and tourist bus. You can even find a regular bus travelling to Kalibo but you have to ride tricycle to get you to the bus stop which is inconvenient for me. So we opted to book the tourist bus my friend recommended to us .We paid Php 500.00 which included the terminal fee, environmental fee and fare for ferry ride going Boracay, parang all in na sya kasi this trip will arranged everything for you up to the drop off point. All you just have to do is sit and enjoy the ride.

We left Kalibo around 630pm and started our journey for a 3days and 2 nights of vacation. The trip was smooth sailing. We arrived at Bora de Paris, sa Station 2 around 8pm. I like our accommodation sobrang homey. After few minutes of rest, we decided to take some walk. From station 2 we headed to station 3. I decided to walk bare foot since the sands were very fine. Along the way, we saw people performing fire dance and they were very graceful dancers. Few more steps, we reached the Sand Castles and took pictures. Then we started walking again until we reached station 1. It was a very relaxing yet tiresome experience. You can see different people of different races enjoying their night chilling near the beach shore and just having a good time. Anywhere you look, you can find bars and resto. We took some few drinks and called the night off.

The following day, I get to see the beauty of Boracay. The pristine water and its fine sand entice you to go swimming. There are also so many activities you can do here. From scuba diving, cliff diving, helmet dive, banana ride, fly fish and para sailing. There are also other things you can do in here other than what I have mentioned. So for us, we decided to go para sailing. In para sailing, a boat will drag your rope while you lifted and swayed by the wind. It is a very nice experience and a bit scary because you will be lifted high. The thrill of being away from your comfort zone makes it more fun. I must say I had a good ride. After that we decided to go for Island hopping. We went to Pucca Beach. It was also a nice place to swim since it offers also a good view of the vast shoreline at the same time it was not over populated. Our night ended by going for another few drinks and chitchats.

During our last day, we attended the mass. I can say that people there are very religious. Even the tourist paid visit to the church. After attending the mass, we went back to our hotel. Some of my colleagues went back for swimming while I and my other male buddy went to buy some fresh sea foods in their local market for our lunch. Our accommodation offers amenities where you can cook your own food. This way you can also save money but if you have extra budget allotted for food then you can eat at any restaurant of your choice.

I am truly blessed to be included in this trip. The experience is worth the wait. So if you are planning to go to Boracay the best way you can do is to plan and book your trip ahead of time. Jot down all your concerns and look for other references that will help you decide on which activity you and your group decides to engage.
