Taong 2005, Nagsimula ang aking paglalakbay at pagtatrabahu sa ibang bansa ng akuy 22 years old. Laking hirap pinangarap din umaseno at makaluwag sa buhay. Product of Public schools and proud to Graduated with the Degree of B.S. Industrial Psychology.Even though mahirap ang buhay, at ang aking nanay ay nagtitinda ng merienda sa labas ng aming bahay at ang aking tatay ng taho sa kalye. Nagpursige akung makatapos ng kolehiyo. Nag aral ako sa umaga at nag trabahu sa Fastfood ng gabi. Tiniis ko halus yun for 4 years para may pang sustento sa sarili kong pag aaral at makapag abut ng konting pera sa aming mga magulang. Pero sadyang parang wala akung swerte sa Trabahu,,, halus six months six months lng. Palipat lipat ng work. Nag pray ako ka God na bigyan aku ng maayus na trabahu kasi gusto ko rin makatulong sa mga magulang ko and that time i had a sister and brother. I pray to god na hindi nila danasin ang dinanas nming Mag Ate ( Pangalawa ako sa Panganay, likewise my sister do the same. kaya lng mas matalino sya ng konti sa akin also product of Public schools but she graduated in P.U.P with Cum Laude honors.)Naranasan nmin ng wala pa kmi work pumapasuk kami ng walang baon pamasahe lang talaga. kung mayrun man pang tulak lng wala ng pambara.
Napapaiyak ako pag naalala ko yun and ayaw ko danasin ng mga kapatid ko hirap na dinanas nmin. Sabi ko sa sarili ko kung pag aabroad ang paraan para hindi nila danasin un gagawin ko kahit na malayu sa Pamilya ko at sa Girlfriend ko. Bumili aku ng Dyaryo (Manila Buletin) at hindi ko na inisa isa pumunta agad ako sa classified ads.
Then just like an answered prayer ayun agad ang tumambad sa akin. " WANTED SERVICE CREW IN KUWAIT'' with experience , pleasing personality and College Graduate. Nagpasalamat ako kay bro,, sbi ko ang lakas ko talaga sau,, Halus Napatalon ako sa tuwa.... hehehe with matching yakap sa nanay habang nagluluto ng ititinda sa labas at sabing di ka na magtitinda nyan pag nag abroad na ko. Halus Umiyak ang aking nanay sa tuwa niyakap nya ako at sabi anak sige galingan mu para sa mga kapatid mu. Hindi ako nag atubili.
Kinabukasan dali dali akung pumunta sa agency, khit pamasahe lng ang dala at hindi alam ang lugar na pupuntahan naglakas loob ako para sa pamilya ko at sa mga kapatid. Makati ang aking destinasyon. Napakahaba ng pila, 6am nandun na ako ang tangapan ay 8am pero para ng pila ng NFA rice Grabe,,,. Pero di ko alintana ang Init at haba ng pila Bitbit ang resume diploma at cert. Lakas ng loob at ambisyon sa buhay pumila ako. Narinig ko sa mga nakapila,, diretso interview na pala kci nandun ung HR Manager ng company. Grabe parang nagtaasan lahat ng balahibo ko sa katawan. EH amuy araw na ata ko tpus diretso interview pa,, pero sige GO pa rin para sa pamilya at mga kapatid. 2 hours akung naghintay sa pila and nung time ko na,,, Syempre pa pogi. Pa pleasing personality.Kagat labi.
Sa reception sabi ng isang ginang pasuk ka na sa office. Dahan dahan aku lumakad and pag bukas ng pinto abut tenga ang aking ngiti with good morning. Hinintay nya akong paupuin Maputi ung lalaki and matankad. nagpakilala siya sa akin inabut ko ang aking right hand then hand shake sabay sabi im michael you can call me khel for short sabay abut ng resume. Tumawag ung head ng recuitment agency pumunta raw ako sa Office para sa list ng requirements.. Napatalon ako sa subrang tuwa... thanks talaga sa kanya. Kinabukasan nag punta agad ako sa agency para kuhanin yung requirements. to make the story short nakumpleto ko na yun Requirements and nag PDOS aku a month before ng flight. Araw ng flight ko April 9, 2006. hindi ako halus nakatulog ng gabi subrang excited nerbiyos and takot. Pero sabi ko gagawin ko to para sa magulang ko and kapatid ko. Hirap umalis ng bahay sbi ko sa pamilaya ko wag na ko ihatid pero mapilit sila,, Nanay, Tatay and Ate Full support hatid Na Dating NAIA 1 terminal. The stories you experience, hear and observe each day are parts of your work, thoughts, desires, failures, successes, heartaches and personal life. That might be why a close friend or relative has once said to you, “You should write a book.” Did you have an excuse not to do so? Did you think that you don’t have the talent, the time or the resources to do it? Think again. You do have enough skills, resources and time. These are secondary. The primary thing is the content. If you have a good story, one that is based on actual events, facts, experiences, these will certainly be of interest to a certain group of people. As they say, it is what you write, not how well you write it. You may have poor grammar or spelling skills, but these can be easily edited by a proof reader. But the content is based on beautiful marriage of imagination and real life events drama.
Thus, when you start to write and involve yourself in the writing process devoted to sharing your life experiences, you begin to live an examined life. Living an examined life provides insight, healing and catharsis. In addition, as reflected in Eastern philosophy, when you heal and help yourself, you likewise heal and help others.
Do not employ writing as a stage to publicly embarrass those who have hurt or wronged you. Being able to take revenge and get back through written words may feel good in the short term, but it may backfire in the long run. While the practice of recording personal events may be a way of understanding enemies or people who have hurt us, it shows a level of immaturity ad comes at the price of distrust from other people who are going to work with us now and in the future, because they may fear getting the same treatment from you. It may be a better course to publicize these stories as a work of fiction. If someone asks what inspired the plot, the proper response could then just simply be a polite smile.
It is also important to remember that if an average person who reads your story, or sees it on a movie screen, television, etc., can identify with the people you are writing about, then you need this person’s written permission. But if the people in your story are not recognizable as specific individuals, because location, age, ethnicity, etc. are different, then obviously you have no need to secure anyone's permission to write and sell your story.
