Investment sa Time Deposit

A time deposit is a savings account in which the deposit is held for a fixed term or in which withdrawals can be made only after giving notice or with loss of interest Lahat tayo ay pamilyar sa savings account.

Individuals and companies often consider time deposits as cash, or readily available funds, even though they are technically not payable on demand. The notice requirement also means that banks may assess a penalty for withdrawal before a specified date.

A regular time deposit is suitable for short-term or immediate financial goals, since the interest is higher unlike regular savings or interest-bearing checking accounts. The longer the term, the higher the interest rate would be. For instance, a one-year certificate of deposit may offer a 1 percent APY, while a five-year CD for the same amount might provide a 1.65% APY. In addition, larger CDs (those with a higher deposit) generally offer more favorable interest rates.

Madaling magbukas ng time deposit account.
