Ano po ibig sabihin ng thick endomitrial stripe? Ano pong mga effect niya?
Hello Regina! Ang endometrium ay ang mucous membrane na lumilinya sa loob uterus. Tinatawag itong endometrial stripe dahil nakikita ito bilang dark stripe kapag gumawa ng trans vaginal ultrasound. Kada buwan kapag ang babae ay fertile at hindi buntis, kumakapal ang endometrium para maging handa sa itlog para mafertilize. Kung hindi nafertilize ang itlog, inilalabas ang extrang endometrial lining kapag nagkaroon ng period. Kapag hindi naging normal ang pagkapal ng endometrium, minsan nagkakaroon ng clumps ng endometrium na bumubuo ng tumor pero ang iba rito ay benign at ang iba naman ay cancerous. Kadalasan ang may mga thick endometrial stripe ay nasa menopausal stage na kababaihan at ang iba ay may nadadiagnose na may endometrial cancer pero meron silang kinokonsidera na kapal para masabing cancerous nga ito. Kadalasan naman ang pagkapal ng endometrium ay hindi cancerous. Ang kadalasang epekto ng may makapal na endometrium ay pagkakaroon ng pagbabago sa haba ng period, mas marami ang inilalabas na dugo kapag may mens, nagkakaroon minsan ng pagdurugo o spotting in between ng period at post menopausal bleeding. Maaari rin magkaroon ng anemia.

The Uterus is anteverted with normal size. Tha endometrial stripe is 9.6mm. There is an Intrauterine Device noted in the lower segment (MIRENA) . There is also a hyperechogenic structure noted in the anterior wall measurinh 17.7 x 15.3 mm. Both ovaries are normal in size and contour. No Fluid collection in the posterior culdesac.
