Ganito po yun.. Seaman po ako.. mula 2012.. nung natapos po ung 12 months apprentice ko.. nkatangap po ako ng 1200usd mula sa principal (mayari ng barko) as additional funds para tulong sa exam. Gumawa po ung Manning Agency ng kontrata na kailangan namin mg serve sa Agency ng 36 months as officer bgo kami makakaalis sa agency at mkapgapply sa iba.. pumirma po ako noon dahil kung hindi po makapirma e walang ibibigay na lineup or vessel assignment.. ngaun mo naka 13 months na ako as officer.. around 30months in total na serbisyo sa agency na po ako kng sumahin lahat ng sakay ko kasama ang apprentice... Kng aalis po kami outside sa service contract na 36months every 12months po is equivalent to 1000usd.. makatarungan po ba un?? Ano po laban ko.. kng matagal nila ako bigyan ng vessel assignment at hindi ma prioritize dahil may alas sila na hindi ako basta basta makakaalis?..

Mal malaki ang kinikita mo. Kumbaga, may investment sa iyo ang may-ari ng barko. Kasi, gusto noong may-ari ng barko, ang magiging opisyal ay iyong mga taong may track record na sa kanila, kumbaga, may trust and confidence na sila sa iyo. Kaya ganoon.
Pero, kung ang ginastos ng shipping company ay 1200 USD lamang, bakit naman 36 months ang service contract agreement ninyo? At bakit kung ito ay ipi-preterminate mo, bakit 1000 USD ang penalty?
Sa isip ko, mahihirapan kasi silang makauha ng kapalit mo ura-urada. Kaya ka itinali sa 36 months contract. Mahina ba ang pa-suweldo sa iyo? O ayaw mo na lang, gusto mo na lang ay ibang companya naman?

Hindi ba mayroong goverment agency na nag-re-regulate ng mga contract ng mga seaman (sa Pilipinas at sa ibang bansa)? Baka sa kanila ka dapat mag-tanong. I will look this up and read up on it, and if I find out anything, I will post something.
