Kailan po ba dapat binibigay ng Employer ang maternity benefits? maghintay daw kasi ako ng ilang months para mabigay yung additional benefits ko sa sss. CS po kasi ako, during my leave, na inform ko na po ang Employer ko at HR na CS ako. sabi nila wait nila na magreimburse si sss bago sila mag credit. kindly advise po.

ganito po kasi iyon. Ang nagbibigay po kasi ng maternity benefits ay ang SSS, hindi naman ang employer. Kumbaga, kapag kayo ay nag maternity leave, pumapayag ang employer na hindi kayo pumasok for 60 days, at hindi kayo matatanggal sa trabaho. Pero, hindi kayo susuwelduhan ng employer. Instead, ang SSS ang magbibigay sa inyo ng inyong maternity benefit.

Sa isang banda po, baka makabuti na medyo maghintay kayo sa inyong maternity benefit kasi, may good news. Nilagdaan ang utos na dagdagan ang mga maternity leave at maternity benefit ng mga babaeng empleyada sa Pilipinas. sa halip na 60 days lang ay 90 days na ata. so, baka po kaya natatagalan ang maternity benefits ninyo, kasi, ina-adjust po ito to the higher rates na ka-aaprove po lamang.

Sa SSS po kayo mag-follow-up. Or, kung ang inyong kumpanya ay mahusay naman makisama sa mga empleyado at may puso, usually, employers advance the maternity benefit and then, kapag naapprove na ng SSS, saka na lang nila ito kukuhanin, nai-advance na nila sa empleyado. Iba-iba po kasi ang patakaran ng mga employer.
