Kasal po ang bf ko dito sa Pilipinas. Tapos umalis at iniwan siya nung girl at pumunta ng Amerika kasama ang isa nilang anak. Nag file si girl ng divorce kasi magpapakasal siya sa US. Pinirmahan ng bf ko at nakalagay daw duon na wala silang hahabulin or walang obligasyon na ang bf ko sakanila. Separated na sila for almost 17-18yrs. Ngayon gusto akong pakasalan ng bf ko. Ano bang dapat niyang gawin. Need parin ba niya ng annulment kahit may divorce letter na sila? Please help! Thanks

Kasi po, only US citizens can divorce in the US. KUng hindi pa US citizen ang babae tapos, she succeeded in getting a divorce, the divorce will not be effective and her husband will still need to get an annulment here.
Pero, kung talagang may divorce na naganap, may divorce decree na inilabas ang husgado, kailangan kayong makakuha ng certified true copy noon. I don't know if the US embassy can help you. Kasi, kung may divorce nga talaga, kailangan lang na i-file ang authenticated and certified copy noong divorce decree at ito ay puedeng i-recognize ng bansang PIlipinas sukat na makakapag-asawa na ulit ang husband dito sa PIlipinas.
