Stalker/Stalking in the Philippines

Question: How can we sue or file lawsuit against stalker here in the Philippines? My girlfriend can't work and concentrate on her job because a stalker is constantly texting / sending sms to her daily. My girlfriend is stressed because of this. We want this to stop and to finally identify who and where this stalker is.

Sa pagkaka-alam ko, mayroon nang anti-stalking law. Puede mong idemanda sa ganitong kaso. Pero, ang stalking ay isa ring form ng violence laban sa babae so puede kang humingi ng barangay protection order or protection order mula sa husgado.

On the practical side, you can block the number. You can ask the NTC to block the person's number. You can report the matter to the telecommunications provider and they can block the number.
