Kapag ba divorce na sa Singapore, wala na rin bang bisa ang kasal sa Pilipinas?

Nais ko lamang pong magtanong tungkol po sa kasal. Ang bf (boyfriend) ko po kasi ay Pilipino. Siya po ay nagpakasal sa Singaporean sa Singapore noong 2010. Nag divorce po sila noong 2011. Pero ang sabi niya po ay hindi sila kinasal dito sa Pilipinas. Gusto ko lang po sana malaman kung automatic po ba na nakarehistro ang kasal din nila dito sa Pilipinas? O kailangan pa po ba na magrehistro ang mismong kinasal?

Kapag po ba divorce na siya sa Singapore wala na rin po bang bisa ang kasal nila sa Pilipinas kung sakaling nakarehistro po ito? Sana po ay matulungan ninyo po ako. Maraming salamat po.

One thing that is not clear to me -- is your boyfriend also a Filipino? Kasi, if he is a Filipino, he should have had his marriage in Singapore registered also in the Philippines. When he got divorced, he should have had his divorce registered as well.

Mabuti na lang at hindi niya ito pina-rehistro. As far as the NSO and the Philippine government is concerned, hindi siya kasal kung hindi rehistrado ang kanyang kasal.

So, kapag kumuha ng CeNoMarr (Certificate of No Marriage) ang boyfriend mo mula sa NSO, walang marriage na mare-reflect. Puwera na lang kung ang kasal sa Singapore ay ginanap sa Philippine Consulate.

So, you see, it is difficult to answer your questions without more facts. The best thing is for you to see a lawyer whom you can trust.
