Topic: I found out from the registry of deeds in Bulacan that the land title under my mother's name already has encumbrances. It is stated that we have a deed of absolute sale that was signed by my mother and my eldest sibling and affidavit of lost for the said title. But the original land title (owner's copy) is still with us. Can we still have this title recovered and changed to my name?
It is stated in the deed of sale that the land was bought for 350 thousand pesos last 2009 (5 land titles in one deed of sale, and 4 of which are in the possession of the buyer). My mother was tricked into pawning the property when in fact a deed of sale was made instead. We are 2 siblings and I am taking care of this case. What are our rights? (We heard that the buyer is disabled, hit by a vehicle.
