Rashes on arms, legs and face. Could this be measles? Contagious?

Thank you

Translation: I have a lot of rashes on the arms, legs and face. Is this measles? Is this serious? What should I do so that others at home would not catch the disease or not be infected, especially my baby? Because my baby was admitted in the hospital for one week.

Hi Apple Ann,

Thanks for the question,

There are many possible explanations for the rash on your face, arms, and legs. These include allergic reactions, drug reactions, psoriasis, and other inflammatory skin diseases. These are not contagious.

Measles could be a possibility if you have not been immunized with the measles vaccine. Also, if the rashes are associated with fever, chills, red eye, or cough, viral diseases such as measles may be implicated.

Therefore, I suggest you visit your GP to evaluate and correctly diagnose the skin disease before treatment is begun.

Best wishes.
