Is it possible to transmit rabies virus through kissing? Posible ba mahawaan ng rabies sa halik?

Possible po bang magkaroon din ng rabies yung girlfriend through kiss? Kasi nakagat po ko ng tuta namen na 3 months old. Di naman po totally nakagat. Ang harot po kase ng aso namen, tas dumaplis yung ngipin nya sa paa ko. Tas yung time na yun, di ko alam na nakagat pala ako. Then kiniss ko gf ko, tas kumaen kame sabay, tas hati pa kame ng kutsara. Possible po bang napasa ko yung rabies sa kanya?? Asap po dok. Need napo talaga e. kinakabahan napo ako sa gf ko baka magkameron :(((


Translation: Is it possible to infect someone with rabies through kissing? I was bitten by puppy of 3 months old. It was not a deep bite, the puppy was playful and it's teeth scraped my foot. I didn't even notice then that I had been bitten. Afterwards, I kissed my girlfriend, then we ate together and we even shared the same spoon. Is it possible for me to transmit/ pass on rabies virus to her?

Dear Peniel,

Your question is interesting and firstly I would like to reassure you that you most likely do not have rabies and if you did you wouldn't be transmitting it to your girlfriend by kissing her or sharing a spoon.

IF you did catch rabies it won't be from a cute puppy that you were playing with because you wouldn't go anywhere near it because it would look something like an animal you wouldn't go near if they paid you a million dollars!

As for transmission between humans kissing or sharing spoons would not be enough. You would have to bite her like a vampire or perform an organ transplant with her which I hope you wouldn't be into or need.

As always safety is the most important thing. If it was a feral puppy meaning it was like Wily Coyote seek medical attention so they may administer a vaccine to you and save your life.

Hope this answers your questions. Stay away from dogs that look like they belong to Lucifer and don't bite your girlfriend like Dracula.
