Are there over the counter medicine or drugs for Chicken pox?

I have been diagnosed with chickenpox, but that was from an ER section. I was not prescribed with an anti-viral drug. So is it possible for me to get the meds for chickenpox even without prescriptions from local drugstores like Mercury drug?

Hello po Sir!

As far as I know po, prescription meds po ang antivirals. Pero wag po kayong magalala kasi ang chickenpox naman po, bilang viral condition, will resolve on its own even without taking viral meds. Just give it approximately 2 weeks and hopefully it will be gone!

Thanks!

Thank you for the info doc, I am currently on my 4th day with the disease, my appetite has been terribly affected due to mouthsore, my diet is mainly fruits & yogurt as what I have read from related forums. I have few questions on food, are the following dishes good for me; like Nilagang baka, Adobong Kangkong & Tokwa, Hotdogs, Ginisang ampalaya, and Munggo.

Regards.

Hi! As long as you're not allergic to them it's okay.

Make sure to drink lots of water too. :)
