Delayed menstruation and pregnancy symptoms, but why negative pregnancy test results?

Possible po ba na buntis ako? Delayed po ako ng 2 weeks at 27 cycle period lang po. Last na magkaroon ako January 16. Ang expecting magkaron February 11 till 16. Till now wala pa din po. Nag try na ko mag HPT (Home pregnancy test)at 3x ko na ginawa, but result is negative. Nakakaranas ako ng same sign ng pagbuntis. I'm expecting na buntis ako pero bakit negative po ang result? I'm turning 30 yrs old this March. Thank you po


Translation: I am now 2 weeks delayed with my menstruation. I have 27 day cycle period. The last time I had menstrual period was last January 16, so I was expecting my menstruation to come between February 11 to 16. But until now, I still do not have my menstruation.

I've tried taking home pregnancy test for 3 times already, but the result was always negative. I experience the signs and symptoms of pregnancy, so I am expecting that I am pregnant. But why are my pregnancy test results negative? I'm turning 30 years old this March.

There are many conditions which could cause a delayed period besides pregnancy. These include stress, recent rapid weight loss or gain, excessive exercise, ovarian diseases, and thyroid issues. These conditions cause delayed periods by altering the hormonal balance.

Furthermore, while your home test results may be truly negative, there is also a chance they could all be falsely negative, this would occur if you had tested too early or if you tested with diluted urine.

Therefore, a visit to your GP is necessary at this point to have a blood pregnancy test done to exclude or confirm pregnancy before he/she investigates for the other causes of delayed periods.
