1 month and 4 days na po akong may menstruation. Kasi nagpa inject ako 2 months pa lang po akong nanganak. Medyo masakit na yung puson ko. Normal po ba yun?Kasi natatakot na rin po akong mabuntis.

Translation: I've had menstruation for the past one month and 4 days now. I had contraceptive injection 2 months after I gave birth. I'm experiencing abdominal cramps. Is this normal? I'm afraid to get pregnant.

Hi there and thank you for your question.

Vaginal bleeding for 1 month and 4 days is not a normal situation under any circumstance. If the bleeding started after you had been given the hormonal injection, then this is most likely the cause of the problem.

Although you won't fall pregnant, since the medication causes the ovaries to not produce eggs for 2 to 3 months, the constant bleeding may lead to unwanted complications.

These would include issues such as an iron deficiency anaemia, dizziness, shortness of breath, chest pains and faint spells. If you experience these symptoms, then you need to present yourself to am emergency room please.

Otherwise, you should see your local clinic nurse or doctor to examine you and to prescribe medication which can stop the bleeding.

I hope this helps and good luck.
