Obscure Pancreas: Upper Abdominal Ultrasound Results Understanding

I just got an upper abdominal ultrasound, i need someone who can help me understand the result, as my Dr will be back in few weeks pa.


"- Gallbladder is distended with an AP diameter or 2.03cm. Lumen is echo free. Wall is not thickened.


-Pancreas is obscured


-Spleen is normal in size and echogencity


IMPRESSION


* Obscured Pancreas


*Unremarkable Sonogram of the Liver, Gallbladder and Spleen


It seems normal naman po pero nakakaramdam ako ng sakit sa sikmura (minsan hanggang likod sa my bandang kanan). Tapos lagi po akong bloated at parang nasusuka.. Minsan parang medyo mabigat din po ang ulo ko.

The ultrasound result reveals no abnormality in any of the organs scanned. A finding of an obscured pancreas means that the pancreas could not be clearly seen, most likely because of excess bowel gas (which may be caused by gas-forming foods, peptic ulcer, or irritable bowel syndrome) blocking the view of the pancreas.

The distension of the gallbladder only becomes a problem if the walls are thickened, your scan result reveals that the walls aren't.

The problem revealed indirectly by your scan is excess bowel gas.
