MASAMA BA BULUTONG SA BUNTIS? ANO EPEKTO NG CHICKEN POX SA 7 MONTHS NAGDADALANG TAO PREGNANT WITH CHICKEN POX?

Masama ba pag nagka-bulutong ang buntis? Yung kapatid ko po kasi ngayon may paumpisang bulutong tubig. 7 month po syang buntis mag 8 months na next month.

Di po ba ung makaka-apekto sa baby niya? Ano po dapat nyang gawin? Worry na po kasi kami. May masamang epekto po ba ito sa sanggol sa sinapupunan?


Translation: My sister is now showing signs of initial stage of chicken pox. But she is 7 months pregnant, going to 8 months. Would that affect the baby she is carrying? What should we do? We are really worried

Chicken pox poses serious health threats to your sister, however, the risk to your baby depends on the timing. Diseases of the mother affect the baby in the womb mostly during the first 3 months of pregnancy.

Now at 8 months pregnant, she must have contracted the infection a month ago( when she was 6-7 month pregnant), at which period the infection has little to no effect on the baby.

She should visit her doctor immediately for antiviral drugs and immune medications to reduce the severity of the infection and prevent infection of the baby during delivery.
