Opinyon bakit nanalo ang Ateneo Lady Eagles at natalo ang De La Salle
Bagamat dehado ang Ateneo, in-upset nila ang defending three-peat champions De La Salle Lady Spikers 25-23 26-24 25-21 sa UAAP Women’s Volleyball kanina sa MOA Arena. Dehado ang Ateneo dahil, una mayroong thrice to beat advantage ang La Salle sa Finals, dahil sa kanilang 30 game win streak. Isa pa, kailangang i-eliminate ang Adamson sa do or die match na sinunod ng panalo sa twice to beat na NU. Unang beses din ito na manalo ang Ateneo Women’s Volleyball team sa UAAP kaya’t napaka-espesyal sa kanila.
Ang season MVP at Finals MVP na si Alyssa Valdez ang nag-score ng last 3 points at nakakuha siya ng total na 21 points sa laro.
Kita sa action ng coach na nananalo ang Ateneo. Nagsasayaw ang Coach ng Ateneo na si Anusorn ‘Tai’ Bundit sa kada score ng Ateneo at sinasabihan niya ang mga players na mag-enjoy sa sinasabi niyang, “Happy, happy.” Makikita din na pinapa-meditate ng Ateneo coach ang mga players tuwing breaks o timeouts. Samantala ang coach naman ng La Salle ay mukhang tense at pinapagalitan ang kanyang players. Paulit ulit niyang pinagsasabihan ang players na, “’Wag kayong magmadali” imbis na “Wag tayong magmadali”. Pagkatapos ng ilang timeout na sinabihan niya ito sa kanyang players, tila bumigay ang La Salle team sa third set kung saan natambakan sila ng 9 points ng Ateneo. Tila nawalan na ng laban ang La Salle pagkatapos noon dahil sa laki ng kalamangan.
Kaya’t importante din ang nakikitang aksyon ng coach sa laro, tulad ng kung kalmado siya at may kumpiyansa. Sabi nga ni Coach Bundit, "If you believe, you can win."
