Pwed ba akong kasuhan ng Cyberlibel by giving a negative review to an establishments official page?

Eto po yung situation. We own a restaurant and one of the customer left a low score google review and nung nag investigate ako, it turned out he is an owner of the same line of business sa amin. So initial reaction ko was he was trying to sabotage or pull our ratings online. So what I did was, I went over to their official facebook page and doon ako nag resonpond sa review niya sa google sa establishment. I said na " we accept and are open to feedbacks from our customers, but if it came from a competitor, that's a different story. Your review is bias considering we are in the same line of business, if you think I wont be able to trace where the review came from, then you are wrong. This review is not for the establishment but directed towards the owner JK. But don't worry, ther will be a time I will visit your resort and give my own unbiased review. If I were you, focus on your own business on how to improve your service. Just my 2 cents.

The wife threatens to sue me because I gave daw false information on their page.

You know offensive din naman ang post po ninyo. If truly excellent naman po talaga ang service ninyo and there's a competitor that will comment negatively then so be it that is their right lalo na if they have personally experienced your service. Your other customers can rebut all their allegations naman po. If it was a matter of rating ang ginawa nila tapos you reacted that way then you tend to highlight your weak points po. Will they have the right to file against you it depends on their lawyer what case to file. If I were you try to gather nalang evidence to prove that you were offended of their rating because you have evidence to prove that your service says otherwise.

just to add twist on that, why way opened a topic that our Menu was false advertisment because in our previous branch 4 years ago, she claimed that everytime they would visit, wala daw “always” yung nasa menu and coined the word “false advertisment” and imeediately lectured her that having an unavailable menu doesn’t equate to false advertisement. I gave an example of Jollibee, if mag order ka ng chickenn joy tapos hindi avail, false advertisment ba yun? can i use this accussation as a countersue agianst her as countersue if in case she would file a case?

So atty, she has the right to be offended and ako hindi? So everytime someone goes to her page and put up a review, she would resort in sueing them kasi she got offended? That's weird. And just to be clear, I wrote the review on the review section of their facebook page and not on their feeds. Understanding social media, this "review" tab can be turned on and turned off because I handle our own official facebook page. Isn't it that TURNING ON this feature means you are consenting consumers to put postive and negative review.
