What does super faint line in pregnancy test means?

My cousin is almost 3 months late in her period, she tried it doing P.T. (in the afternoon around 2pm) pero ganito yung result niya. Actually, she tried doing P.T. nung almost 2 months na delay yung period niya and faint pa rin yung line pero visible naman. Now, halos di na makita yung pangalawang line. What does it mean po ba? Is it still positive?

If your cousin sees a faint line on a pregnancy test and has missed her period for almost three months, it's crucial to consult with a healthcare provider for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate guidance. Pregnancy tests work by detecting the hormone hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin), which is produced in the body after the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine lining. A faint line could indicate a positive result, but the faintness may also be due to other factors like:

Diluted urine: If the urine is too diluted, the hCG levels may not be detectable by the test. Testing first thing in the morning is often recommended.

Expired or defective test: An expired or defective test might not be accurate.

Low hCG levels: In some cases, hCG levels may still be low, making the line appear faint.

Chemical pregnancy: This is an early miscarriage that happens shortly after implantation. The body may produce hCG, but the pregnancy does not continue.

Given that she's nearly 3 months late for her period and her tests are showing faint lines, it would be best for her to consult a healthcare provider for a more definitive diagnosis, which may include blood tests or an ultrasound.

In the Philippines, where healthcare practices and resources may vary, she could reach out to a local OB-GYN or a healthcare facility to get the necessary tests and consultation.
