Ano ang kahulugan ng Undas sa kultura ng Pilipinas?

Ang kaugalian ng mga Pilipino tuwing undas ay nagpaparangal at nag-aalala sa mga yumaong miyembro ng pamilya. Ang All Saints' Day at All Souls' Day ay dalawang kapistahan ng Katoliko na pumapatak sa Nobyembre 1 at 2.

Ang Undas ay ang panahon kung saan binibisita ng mga Pilipino ang libingan ng kanilang mga mahal sa buhay, nililinis ang mga puntod nito, at nag-iiwan ng mga bulaklak at panalangin. Ang mga bisita rin ay nagdadala ng pagkain at inumin sa mga libingan, kung saan ibinabahagi nila ito sa kanilang mga mahal sa buhay.

Ang Undas ay panahon din para parangalan ng mga Pilipino ang mga alaalang ibinahagi nila sa kanilang mga mahal sa buhay at balikang muli ang nagawa niya noong sila ay buhay pa. Panahon na para parangalan ang buhay ng mga yumao at pagnilayan ang magandang panahon.

Isang napaka makabuluhang kaugalian sa kulturang Pilipino ang undas. Ang mga pamilya ay nagtitipon sa panahong ito para gunitain ang ikot ng buhay, alalahanin ang kanilang mga yumaong mahal sa buhay, at maglaan ng oras na magkakasama.
